The Best Things Happen When You're Dancing

Dancing is a form of adventure. I dance all the time just for fun, but I wish I was as graceful as these people. However, sometimes you just gotta dance and lose yourself in the beauty of it.
Beautiful
 Soar!
This totally reminds me of my sister and I, feeling free and easy

“It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance. It is the dream afraid of waking that never takes the chance. It is the one who won't be taken who cannot seem to give. And the soul afraid of dying that never learns to live.”

- Bette Midler

Adventures of childhood simplicity

This is my beautiful niece Layla. I wish I was still as carefree as she is.
Even brooding, I'm sure she's traveling to far away places in her imagination.
I admire the pictures a young mind can paint.

"Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, it could stay this simple
I won't let nobody hurt you, won't let no one break your heart
And no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up"

A Little Nonsense Now and Then is Relished by The Wisest of Men

I am a big fan of Gene Wilder's sarcasm in his portrayal of Willy Wonka in the musical classic "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory", as you can see by the title of this post.  I love the end scene where they fly out of the building through the glass elevator and travel over the whole city. The element of the journey of your dreams combined with the song aspect is a great combination. I have often felt that life should be set to a soundtrack.

As Mr. Wonka quoted:

"We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems."

Window Travelers of All Kinds

I have wished a bird would fly away,
And not sing by my house all day;

Have clapped my hands at him from the door
When it seemed as if I could bear no more.

The fault must partly have been in me.
The bird was not to blame for his key.

And of course there must be something wrong
In wanting to silence any song.

Fly Like an Eagle

As you may have noticed by my last post, I am on a positive kick.  If you don't live in reality and dream in the clouds, you're not really living. You must combine the two.

I am currently watching the animated film Ratatouille, about the rat chef that could, and am feeling adventurous.  Rats obviously can't cook (weird plot), but the little rodent left home, adventured afar, followed his dreams and accomplished them. The idea we take from this though was that he embarked on a journey in search of his passion.

In my travels I have been many places that are also far away from my Michigan home.  From the Caribbean to Italy, Africa and more, I have had many rich encounters with the people, animals and the environment in general.  Next up on my list are Ireland and Brazil and I cant wait for the new experiences to come and the spaces and ways in which I will soar.
Brazil

Ireland

I don't know what's next, but because travel is MY passion, I will pursue it to no end.

Life as we know it... Or as I know it so far

So, I'm back again with words of wisdom for all. Well, maybe just me, but you're going to hear it anyway. I find that life is always a continuation, not for one creature alone, but a circle (like the Lion King). What I have found in my short time on earth is that it can be a struggle, But it is a blessing with many wonderful and fulfilling moments. The hard times seem to last for ever and the good times so fleeting, But when you look back you know every moment made you who you are. I, for one, am compassionate, hopeful, and constantly amused by this world around me. And I think that's just fine :)
